Mamma and Daddy (“the App”, “Mandy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an AI-powered parenting support app designed to help parents and caregivers with chat-based guidance, diary management, family context, and community features.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Mamma and Daddy mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, “the Service”).
We understand that parenting, family, child-development, diary, chat, and community information can be sensitive. We treat this information with care and use it only to provide, secure, improve, and support the Service.

Anonymous community posts may hide your identity from other normal users in the App interface. Anonymous does not mean impossible for authorised Mandy maintainers to trace where strictly necessary for safety, moderation, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or support.
We may collect limited technical and usage information, including:
- App interactions and feature usage.

- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information to sell advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
Mamma and Daddy uses artificial intelligence to generate parenting support responses. To provide this functionality, your chat messages and relevant context may be processed by our AI systems or trusted AI service providers.
AI-generated responses are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not medical, legal, mental health, safeguarding, or other professional advice.
We may use aggregated, de-identified, or anonymised information to improve the quality, safety, and reliability of our AI features. Where information can reasonably identify you, we handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Where UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or similar privacy laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: To provide the Service you request, including account access, chat, diary, and community features.
- Consent: Where you choose to provide optional information, enable notifications, or where consent is legally required.
- Legitimate interests: To improve, secure, debug, and operate the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation: Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory obligations, or lawful requests.
- Vital interests: In rare cases, where processing is necessary to protect someone’s life or safety.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only where necessary to operate, secure, support, or improve the Service.
We may share information with:
- AI service providers: To generate responses and provide AI-powered features.
- Supabase: To store app data and provide backend infrastructure.
- Authentication providers: Such as Apple or Google, where you choose to sign in using those services.
- App store providers: Such as Apple App Store and Google Play, for app distribution and account-related functionality.
- Analytics, diagnostics, or crash-reporting providers: Where used to understand app performance, errors, or reliability issues.

- Authorities or third parties where legally required: For legal compliance, safety, abuse prevention, or protection of rights.
Community content that you choose to post may be visible to other users according to the feature settings in the App.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Typical retention principles include:
- Account data is retained while your Account remains active.
- Diary, chat, family, and profile data is retained while needed to provide the App features or until you delete it or request deletion, subject to legal and operational limits.
- Community content may remain visible unless deleted, moderated, or removed according to App functionality and policy.
- Technical logs and debug traces are retained only as long as needed for security, debugging, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operational purposes.
- During beta periods, debug traces, operational logs, and backups may be retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, complaint-handling, backup integrity, or operational reasons.
Backups may persist for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten or securely removed.
You can export or delete certain data through the App settings, including the “My Data” section where available.
Some local device controls may only export or clear data stored on that device. They may not automatically delete all server-side data, backups, community content, debug traces, or account records.
To request access, export, correction, or deletion of server-side data, contact us at:
We will respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
The App is designed for parents, caregivers, and adults. Children under 13 are not permitted to create accounts.
The App may allow parents or caregivers to store information about children, such as routines, milestones, diary notes, or family context. This information is provided and controlled by the parent or caregiver using the App.
If you believe a child has created an Account or provided personal information directly to us without appropriate consent, please contact us at hello@mammadaddy.co.uk so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
If you enable push notifications, we may store a device push token so we can send notifications to your device.
We aim to keep notification text privacy-preserving and avoid including sensitive diary, chat, or family content in notification previews.
You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Signing out may attempt to unregister your current device token, although invalid or unreachable tokens may also be cleaned up later by the notification provider or our systems.
We use reasonable technical, organisational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your information, including:
- Secure authentication.
- Access controls.
- Encrypted data transmission where appropriate.
- Trusted infrastructure providers.
- Monitoring for errors, abuse, and security issues.
- Limiting access to sensitive data to authorised team members who need it.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and respond responsibly to security issues.
During beta, support, or security investigations, authorised Mandy team members may need to access limited technical logs or debug traces to understand what happened.
We do not casually browse private conversations, diary entries, or family information.
Where practical and appropriate, if we need to access raw debug traces for a specific issue you report, complaint, or product investigation, we will ask for your specific consent before doing so. We may access relevant records without prior consent where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or urgent safety reasons.
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or reliance on providers with suitable data-transfer mechanisms.

- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Request export or portability of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@mammadaddy.co.uk.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
The App or website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of those third parties.
If you use third-party authentication, app stores, or linked services, your use of those services may also be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Mamma and Daddy is not an emergency service and does not provide medical, legal, mental health, safeguarding, or other professional services.
Please do not use the App for emergencies or situations requiring urgent professional advice. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional immediately.
